The threat actors associated with Revil ransomware has reportedly removed Apple’s schematics from their data leak site after they warn Quanta that they would leak drawings for the new iPAd and new Apple logos.
Actually, the threat actors attacked Quanta earlier this money. Quanta is a a Taiwanese design manufacturer which helps Apple to manufacture Apple Watch, Macbook Air, and and more Apple devices as well.
Through this aforementioned attacks, the Revil developers managed to steal data blonging to company that includes drawings and schematics for various Apple products.
Even after the warnings, the actors received no payments, following which they began posting schematics of Apple Macbooks on their data leak site.
Also, they warned the organization to pay the demanded ransom fee of around $50 million before 1st may, else more data would be leaked.
Removal of schematics from data leak site
As per the experts, the Revil developers are very keen and not compassionate to give up over their targets easily, but this time, the ransomware gang has removed the leaked data of Quanta which included Apple schematics and drawings from their site.
Reportedly, the Revil developers and Quanta has a private chat four days ago, in which the developers told Quanta that they hide the data leak page, and will stop talking to third parties to allow negotiations to continue.
Also, it’s seen that demanded ransom fee is discounted and dropped to $20million and includes a dead line of 7th may this time.
And, within the new deadline, if the Quanta fails to pay the ransom, the threat actors will start to publish new iPad, Apple logos, and more other details over their leak site.
