Twitter is now allowing its users to see images on their timelines in the form of tall and un-cropped photos, with the new feature roll-out for iOS and Android mobile apps.
The social media platform has been testing this new feature on mobile apps since March. By this, you will see large and taller images of the timelines rather than the cropped 16:9 images.
Twitter has started rolling out this feature for all Android and iOS mobile apps by today. The images on the timeline appear very tall.
People may love or hate this new feature as it makes for some interesting tweets, but large amounts of scrolling will have to be made to get pass a tall picture.
With the release of this feature, Twitter is also killing the “open for a surprise” tweets that show cropped picture and then silly, or adult themed, when expended.
If you are seeing the cropped images, it may be because you are not updated with the latest Twitter app. So, make ensure you are having the latest version. It should be rolled out within the next day or so.
