Microsoft releases the beta version for the next Windows 10 dubbed as ‘May 2021 Update’

Microsoft released the Windows 10 May 2021 Update, aka 21H1 Insider beta tester to download categorized as the major feature update for the Microsoft’s OS.

This update, build number 19043.928 – is the final build for the May 2021 update, as per the Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc.

The Windows 10 update will arrive in Ma, however, the exact date of the released is yet to be announced. There is a postulate around that it will come with the May 11 Patch Tuesday.

The company already announced that they will deliver the update using “optimized way using servicing technology” that they use for monthly update.

LeBlanc noted that “Windows Insider Program for Business participants have been able to validate 21H1 on commercial devices in their organizations since March.”

The new Windows version is basically a tightening-up update. This means, it delivers compatibility to the performance and enhances the security of the system.

The only explicit feature with this update is the option for you to choose whether you use a built-in-webcam or an add-on for the Windows Hello face authentication, performance boost feature for Windows Defender Application Guard security or performance improvements feature for group policy services for remote work.

CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella made a note in his earning calls that the Windows 10 is now running on 1.3 million active users.

“People are turning to Windows PCs more than ever to stay connected, productive, and secure. Windows 10 now has more than 1.3 billion monthly active devices,” he said. This is a huge gain as we compare from March 2020 when users topped 1 billion.

The worth to be noticing is that we are getting a noticeable update to the Windows 10 interface. This is not a part of the Windows 10 May 2021 update.

News and Interests is a widget that pop ups as icon on the taskbar. It shows customized content such as local weather, news, stocks and sports info.

According to the Microsoft Official page, this feature is rolling out separately and works on “Devices running Windows 10, version 1909 (and later) who have installed the May 2021 Windows monthly update (or later) will be included in this phased rollout.”

You can look ahead to an interface design in the 21H2 (dubbed Sun Valley a feature rounded windows, a redesigned start menu and a new app store and update d taskbar icons) for the groundbreaking Windows releases.

Beyond that, there will be Windows 10X- a simplified flavor for Windows to go head-to-head with Google Chrome OS.
